Gesture is an online exhibition and series of live performances taking place in Corby, Northamptonshire, from October 2012 to April 2013, with works being commissioned and shown throughout the duration of the project. Comprising work in a range of media – including live art, video, photography and performance – Gesture is exploring ways in which relationships and social interaction can be signified, controlled and communicated through the conduit of the hand. The project explores intentional and subconscious gestures and how these relate to architectural, musical, written, spoken, sign and visual languages.
