CALL FOR WORK – UK

THE CENTRE FOR SOLO PERFORMANCE works with THE CONWAY COLLECTIVE in providing a specialist series of unique performance workshops, events and opportunities for performance artists interested in creating, developing, sharing solo performance work.

We are currently looking for solo performers to take part in our GOING SOLO series of showcases in the Conway Hall’s Brockway Room on the following dates:

6 Feburary 2013
6 March 2013

We are looking for solo pieces up to 30 minutes in length, though we will consider longer pieces. Work may be of any performance discipline but must only have one performer in the performance space. (A live musician is allowed to accompany if necessary).

THE DETAILS:
The Brockway Room of the Conway Hall can seat up to 60.
It is an unrigged white room.
The performance space is approx 5mx3m. No wings.
Lighting is basic (no specials).
Sound equipment is also very basic (CD/MP3) player, microphone and amp.
A digital projector is available (fixed focus on back wall).

Each act will only have 15-20minutes tech/rehearsal time in the space on the day.  If your show has many different technical elements it is recommended you provide your own technician to run your performance.  Preference may be given to acts that can be easily accommodated within time and technical restrictions.
