Opportunity for women artists to showcase work in progress at the V&A

The V&A are searching for RISING TALENT, women artists from diverse backgrounds and all artforms, visual, performing, literature, spoken word & poetry, comedy etc. aged 18 – 30, who would welcome the opportunity to have their voice heard through a showcase of their work at the V&A as part of the ARTIST UNSEEN: WOMEN FACING FORWARD event taking place at the V&A on Friday evening, 15 March. This event is in celebration of International Women’s day & week and the exhibition ‘Light of the Middle East – New Photography’.

Artist’s work MUST be fully influenced by one of more of the following themes:
STRUGGLE
SURVEILLANCE
FREEDOM
BELONGING
GENDER
RIGHTS OF PASSAGE

Four women artists will be chosen to take part in a presentation, in front of a live audience. Artists must present almost finished work-in-progress. Artists will then take questions and comments from the audience.
