Dumfries House Residencies
Applications are open for Dumfries House artists’ residencies for emerging and established UK and USA artists, for whom drawing is part of their practice. The residencies are based at Dumfries House in Ayrshire and delivered by The Prince’s Drawing School, Glasgow School of Art and Dumfries House.
Fully funded four week residencies are available throughout 2014. The estate provides self-catering accommodation and purpose-built studios within a traditional building with views of surrounding countryside and good natural light.
This is a unique opportunity for painters, textile/furniture designers, illustrators, practice-based researchers and applied artists who will have access to the house’s significant collections.
Applicants should submit application form, CV, non-returnable digital portfolio (10 images on CD/DVD), and up to 3 sketchbooks to The Prince’s Drawing School, 19-22 Charlotte Road, London, EC2A 3SG by 7pm, Monday 2nd December 2013 (January-June residencies).
