Making Places: open call for proposals
Artists, architects, and creative practitioners of all backgrounds who have an interest in working in the public realm are invited to propose new ideas for Making Places, a new initiative by Waltham Forest Council, which aims to deliver twenty new site-specific artworks across the borough during 2018. Successful projects will receive up to £40,000 per site to develop and deliver their projects on behalf of Waltham Forest Council. Proposals will be considered from individuals, collectives, organisations and partnerships based in the UK – we ask that applicants demonstrate their prior experience delivering site-specific artworks, particularly outdoor or public-realm works. Applicants may submit proposals for multiple sites but a maximum of four sites will be awarded to any one individual, collective or organisation.
Applications for Making Places are now open, and the deadline for proposals is October 8 2017.
For more information on the commission and details on how to submit proposals, see the Making Places Website.
